Dr. Jo Velasquez

Dr. Jo Velasquez earned her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of California at Irvine, in 1986. She earned her Master’s degree in professional psychology in 1990 and her doctorate in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology-Alliant International University, in 1994. Pre-doctoral internships were completed at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and at the University of California at Irvine Counseling Center. She spent two years at the University of California at Davis as a staff psychologist where she completed her postdoctoral hours. She was licensed in California in 1995 and in the state of Nevada in 1997. After relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada she set up a full-time private practice where she provided general clinical psychology services in both Spanish and English to adults, adolescents and children. She pursued advanced education and training in psychophysiology neuropsychology and forensic psychology and provided specialty services to the pediatric cancer and Worker’s Compensation populations as well as served as an expert witness for the 8th Judicial Family Court in Clark County, Nevada. In fall 2006, she accepted a position with psychiatric ambulatory services at the Rawson-Neal State Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada providing psychiatric crisis services including involuntary hospitalization determinations, inpatient services, drug and mental health diversion with law enforcement drop-off. In 2010, she enrolled in the postdoctoral Master of science and clinical psychopharmacology program at Alliant International University-San Francisco and graduated in 2012. In 2014, she completed her residency in clinical psychopharmacology at the federally qualified healthcare agency under family medicine in Chaparral, New Mexico. In 2015 through 2017 she completed her fellowship in clinical psychopharmacology at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern New Mexico in Las Cruces New Mexico. She was independently licensed in clinical psychopharmacology in 2017. Currently she is co-owner and is the CEO of a psychiatric services clinic in Las Cruces, New Mexico. iNetMed Rx² is a behavioral medicine management company that provides evidence-based medication management, forensic and general clinical neuropsychological and psychological testing, and psychotherapy services.
